Thomas E Bowens, P. Geo
President, CEO and Director
Thomas Bowens is a certified professional geologist with over twenty-eight years of international experience in the minerals exploration industry, and has spent the last twenty two years based in Mongolia (1998-2006) and Russia (since 2005). Prior to founding IG Copper and IG Tintic , Mr Bowens was the Vice President of Exploration and Chief of Operations for Fortress Minerals Corporation. Mr Bowens has been directly responsible for two major mineral deposit discoveries in Russia in the past 12 years, the Svetloye Gold Mine and Malmyzh Cu-Au Porphyry Deposit (sold to Russia Copper in 2018 for $200 million) and has a track record of success in the management and operation of exploration companies. He has worked for Cyprus Amax Exploration, Harrods Minerals, Ivanhoe Mines, and two Lundin Group Companies, International Uranium and Fortress Minerals. Mr Bowens has degrees in economics, geological engineering (Magna Cum Laude) and a master’s degree in Geology, the latter two from the Colorado School of Mines.
Vice President Project Development
Mr Korpi is a metallurgical engineer who has worked in the mining business for over 40 years in operations and project management positions. He has lived and worked in Indonesia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Canada and the USA. Paul is a third-generation underground miner and while with Newmont managed the opening of Newmont’s first UG mines on the Carlin trend. He has been involved in over 7 billion USD in mining capital investment in the USA, Indonesia, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. Paul has significant gold mine operational experience around the world including working on a variety of roles with Newmont, and having managed operating mines in the United States, Indonesia, Mongolia and Suriname. Paul has a degree in metallurgical engineering from Michigan Technological University.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bridgewater founded Interlink Capital Strategies, a financial advisory and business development firm in 1994, where he has advised on over $800 million of private equity investments in industries ranging from building materials, renewable energy, and automotive component manufacturing to electronics and software technologies in the U.S. and Asia. He has also served as a managing director for a publicly traded mezzanine fund investing in small and medium-sized middle market companies as well as managing director of the Utah Fund of Funds. In addition to Interlink, he has co-founded five companies, including environmental services, biotechnology, and multimedia/software technology firms. Mr. Bridgewater has served on various company and community boards and recently served on the Ex-Im Bank and U.S. Department of Commerce advisory boards and previously worked at Ex-Im Bank as a loan officer in Latin America. He is active in elective politics and ran for the U.S. Senate in Utah. Recently he acted as Education Deputy for the state of Utah. He was also a senior political advisor for John McCain and George W. Bush presidential campaigns. He received a B.S. in Finance from Brigham Young University and completed graduate studies in international economics from the University of Utah
Roy Durr, P. Eng
Vice President Mining
Mr. Durr is a seasoned senior Executive Program Manager with over 25 years of experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, a Master Certificate in Project Management from York University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada. Over his career he has managed the design and execution of major mining and infrastructure projects varying in size from $50 to $450 million, holding the role of Project Manager in early 2000, moving into Program Manager and finally as an Executive of a mining construction company in 2009. As the President of a joint venture company in Saskatchewan, Roy was instrumental in the safe sinking of three Potash shafts through the unconsolidated, water saturated, Blairmore formation; a feat that has not been done for the past 40 years. Roy is currently the CEO and President of Legend Mining Inc. and Provo Mining & Construction Inc. and has been instrumental in their continued growth and expansion.
Mr. Perkins has been a professional exploration geologist for 20 years, having worked for AngloGold Ashanti in Australia prior to moving abroad where he has worked for several exploration companies throughout SE Asia, West Africa and the Russian Far East. He has a primary focus on epithermal gold, porphyry Cu-Au, polymetallic and orogenic vein systems and has managed and been involved with a number of significant exploration discoveries and extensions to known resources across a diverse range of deposit styles and geographies. He has developed a unique technical skill base coupled with practical hands-on field experience and is a highly motivated and success-driven individual, with a strong focus on team-driven exploration success at Tintic Consolidated Metals
VP Corporate Relations
Mr. Tharp has over 30 years of experience in dealing with a wide spectrum of industries, assets and markets, both in equity formation and as a private lender, as well as in creating strategic partnerships. He has over 15 years of direct experience in Utah, particularly with the specific assets now owned by TCM, and was the introducer of this opportunity to the Company and its principal, Tom Bowens. During this period, he has developed synergistic relationships with surrounding landowners, and with members of the local community and surrounding counties and state government, which will be brought to bear to assist the Company in the areas of strategic relationships, corporate development and expanding the Company’s local inventory of exploration properties. Mr. Tharp has lived and worked in Germany, Italy, Japan and the Republic of Panama for a combination of over 10 years, and has traveled on business to Ecuador, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Alexander Khersonski, CPA, CGA., is a senior financial professional with over twenty years of international experience in financial and operational management and financial reporting for both private and public companies operating in the resource sector. Alexander was appointed the Chief Financial Officer for the IG Group of Companies in 2010 and was instrumental in the eventual sale of the Malmyzh asset in 2018. Prior to his employment with IG Copper, Alexander worked for Kinross Gold Corporation for more than 6-years achieving the role of Vice President of Russian operations and was instrumental in the construction and successful operation of both the Kupol and Julietta mines. Prior to his engagement with Kinross, Alexander worked for a number of junior resource sector public companies in Canada. Mr. Khersonski has a MA in Economics and is a registered CPA and CGA in Canada.
